The NexTemp thermometer is a limited use, disposable, clinical thermometer designed to provide infection protection by minimizing cross-contamination. The thermometer uses an innovative dot sensor matrix consisting of temperature sensitive indicating dots. Each dot changes color at a temperature of 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit or 0.1 degrees Celsius. Body temperature is read from a numerical scale and range is 96.0-104.8 degrees Fahrenheit or 35.5-40.4 degrees Celsius. Temperature is obtained in 60 seconds and the reading should be taken immediately. The thermometer will return to room temperature after 20 minutes and may be reused at that time.
